This is absolutely lovely! Dating from the 1960s--the Golden Age of Ivy Style--this was originally sold by D'Agostino's of Trenton, NJ. D'Agostino's--now long gone--was one of the many small tailors that provided exemplary service and Ivy clothing to both State politicians and the faculty and students of the University just down the road, Princeton, at a time when Trenton was socially superior to that sleepy college town.

Cut as a traditional 3/2 sack from a heavier mid-weight wool this beautiful jacket has a classic 1960s patterning and colourway--dark, conservative earth tones perfect for winter in an appealing yet conservative vertical stripe. This sort of cloth hasn't been made since the Kennedy administration, and appears frequently in college pictures from the 1950s and 1960s.

The jacket is fully canvassed and half-lined. It has the traditional Ivy two-button cuffs and a single rear vent--as well as the lovely narrow lapels of the period! It was, of course, Union made in the USA.

It is in Very Good/Excellent condition, and a bargain at just $39, or offer, boxed and shipped in the USA.
